Local Flavor Since 1883

We don’t throw the word “legendary” around haphazardly. The Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, Texas is legendary. When the opportunity to transition the brewery into a lifestyle brand arrived, we didn’t say yes. We said hell yes. Through our multi-year partnership, we positioned Pearl as a place where residents, locals, informed tourists and curious wanderers go to experience contemporary Texas – through the lens of chefs, curators, artists, makers, friends and families.

“Just north of downtown along the San Antonio River, this massive brewery churned out beers from the 1880s through 2001. Today, its industrial spaces have been transformed into a mixed-use, live-work complex with an eye toward sustainability. Hosting one of the only four branches of The Culinary Institute of America, the district is a 23-acre foodie playground, home to a farmers’ market, wine and espresso bars, and high-end restaurants.”
Since 2011, GS has provided all creative services for this dynamic development including marketing strategy, print design, web design, event and environmental design, photography, video production and more.
GS was partners and collaborators with Pearl from day one and together transformed an iconic brewery into a brand and destination that encompasses 22-acre mixed-use space features retail, dining, contemporary apartments, picturesque green spaces and paseos, a riverside amphitheater, Hotel Emma, and the third campus of the Culinary Institute of America.
“GS have been invaluable partners for nearly 5 years. They are involved in everything from our corporate identity and promotional materials to the highest level of strategic planning. They produce work that reflects both who we are and the development of a long term vision of our brand. And they’re really nice people.”
We are co-conspirators with like-minded people and brands who aren’t afraid to break things.
